Welcome to Krokanti Tasks. This guide walks you through everything you need to get up and running.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Go to tasks.krokanti.com/register and sign up with your email address or Google account.

  • Email signup: enter your name, email, and a password (minimum 12 characters).
  • Google signup: click "Continue with Google" and authorize the app.

After signing up, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link to confirm your address.

Email verification is optional but recommended. Some features (like team invitations) require a verified email.

Step 2: Your Personal Space

Every account starts with a personal space — a private workspace just for you. It's created automatically when you register.

Your personal space contains your projects and tasks. On the free plan, you can create up to 3 projects inside it.

Step 3: Create Your First Project

From the sidebar, click New project. Give your project:

  • Name — something descriptive, like "Website Redesign" or "Q2 Roadmap".
  • Default view — choose Kanban (best for workflows) or List (best for linear task lists).
  • Color — optional, but useful when you have multiple projects.

Click Create. Your project opens immediately.

Step 4: Set Up Statuses

Every project has statuses — the columns in your kanban board. By default, new projects come with:

  • To Do
  • In Progress
  • Done

You can customize these in Project settings. Rename, reorder, or add new statuses to match your workflow. You can also set a status type (todo, in_progress, done, cancelled) which affects how Krokanti Tasks displays and counts tasks.

Step 5: Add Your First Task

Click New task or press N from anywhere in the project view.

Enter a title and hit Enter. That's the minimum. You can optionally set:

  • Priority — No priority / Low / Medium / High / Urgent
  • Due date — when this needs to be done
  • Assignee — who's responsible (on paid plans with team members)
  • Labels — custom tags for grouping

What's Next?

Once you've added a few tasks, explore:

  • Drag and drop — drag cards between kanban columns or reorder within a column.
  • Task detail — click any task to open its full detail panel. Add a description, subtasks, and comments.
  • Keyboard shortcuts — press ? to see all shortcuts.
