Kanban Board, List View, and Other Views
How to use the different project views in Krokanti Tasks — kanban, list, calendar, and Gantt.
Krokanti Tasks supports multiple ways to view your project. Each view shows the same tasks — the view just changes how you interact with them.
Kanban View
The default view for most projects. Tasks are organized into columns by status, and you drag cards between columns to update their status.
Best for: workflows with distinct stages, sprint planning, visual project management.
Using the Kanban Board
- Add a task to a specific column by clicking + Add task at the bottom of that column.
- Move a task by dragging its card to a different column.
- Reorder within a column by dragging up or down.
- Quick edit by clicking a card — the task detail panel slides in from the right.
Columns
Each column represents a status. Go to Project settings → Statuses to:
- Add new statuses (columns)
- Rename existing ones
- Reorder columns by dragging
For most teams, 3–5 columns is ideal. More than that, and the board becomes hard to scan.
List View
A flat, table-style list of all your tasks. Better for:
- Long task lists where you want to see many tasks at once
- Sorting by due date, priority, or assignee
- Simple to-do list workflows
In list view, you can:
- Click any task to open its detail panel
- Sort by clicking column headers
- Filter by status, priority, or assignee
Calendar View (Pro/Team)
Shows tasks with due dates on a monthly calendar. Tasks without due dates don't appear in calendar view.
Use this view to:
- Spot overloaded days at a glance
- Plan due dates visually
- Identify gaps in your schedule
Drag tasks on the calendar to change their due date.
Gantt View (Pro/Team)
A horizontal timeline showing tasks alongside their start and end dates. Best for:
- Project planning with dependencies in mind
- Communicating timelines to stakeholders
- Long-running projects with many parallel workstreams
In Gantt view, set both a Start date and Due date on tasks to see them as duration bars on the timeline.
Switching Views
Use the view switcher in the top-right corner of any project. Your preferred view is saved per project.
